This is the Website for the German guitar-based indie post-beat\/songwriter-pop\/rock band TRADING GODS FOR HAPPINESS. Welcome!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

TRADING GODS FOR HAPPINESS were active as live band from 1988 to 1993, during which time they have played several gigs in the Northern German area and in their native city of Hamburg. During this time, they consisted of Christoph Maus-Voc, Rythm guitar, Maurice Toporek- lead guitar, Christian J\u00fcnke\/Wenk Fischer-Bass, J\u00f6rn Christiansen-Drums. A single- I RAN- came out as a private pressing in 1991.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After the live band had broken up, group founder and main songwriter Christoph Maus kept the original TRADING GODS FOR HAPPINESS Sound alive and continued to sporadically record his songs under that name in the studio until 2006, supported by the friendly musicians Maurice Toporek, Matt Zentrich, Martin Loose, Holger Itzek and Peter Koobs. Produced were these songs by Frank Seele in den heiligen Hallen von Hamburg-Bergedorf.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n
